Biography:
Certified CMA teacher since 2011, Ariana finds true pleasure in teaching music, and her passion is evident in her gentle and patient approach with students.
Ariana attended the University of Brasilia, where she completed her degree in Music and Education. During her time there, she sang in the Chorus of the National Theater Orchestra (OTNCS) and performed in the Brasilia Opera Festival in 2011. After finishing her Music degree, Ariana moved to Canada to study Musical Theatre. Now, she lives in Brockville where she studies and teaches music.
Ariana has taught music for 6 years, and really enjoys sharing her musical knowledge with her students. She feels at ease teaching students of different ages and musical backgrounds. She has extensive experience teaching music for children, music theory and recorder. Although she mainly teaches for young children, she also has experience teaching vocal technique at a basic and intermediate leves to students of all ages.
Ariana's first experience with music was in a Children's Program of her city's Conservatory (Escola de Musica de Brasilia), where she immediately discovered her passion for it. She completed the Advanced Program at the Conservatory, as well as studying private voice and piano. At the Conservatory, she participated in various vocal groups such as “Brasil EnCanto” (as a Child) and “Coro Feminino Cantares”, with which she sang in music festivals in Brazil, Argentina and Ecuador. She also attended many Summer Programs to develop her skills in MPB (Brazilian popular music) singing, Vocal Arragement and Music Theatre.
Since music has always been the most positive aspect of her life, she believes that a great lesson provides not only knowledge, but also enjoyment and fun for her students.
