Biography:

Certified CMA teacher since 2012, and private teacher since 2002, Phil is a Graduate of York University with a Bachelor in Fine Arts, and a fantastic addition to our staff.

He is a veteran performer in the Rock and Celtic fields of music, with an extensive knowledge of many styles including (but not limited to) Rock, Celtic, Bluegrass, Folk, Rockabilly, Funk, Blues, Soul, punk, ska, reggae, etc...

Phil believes that any lesson starts with the student's best interest. There are a variety of teaching methods that can be used, but it is all relative to what the student is looking to get out of each lesson. Whether it be a chance to play and sing your favorite songs, write your own, or get better at what you already know through lessons in technique and theory, Phil will cover it all at the student's own pace and leisure.

Music is a gift that lasts a lifetime and can lead to many wonderful opportunities! With this in mind, Phil emphasizes that music can not just be a life skill, but can also be a lot of fun. The greatest way to succeed is to love what you do, so his primary goal is to make sure his students always leave a lesson with a smile on their face.
